Meet Leyla
This interview is five months old and already needs a director's commentary…
When I sat down with Leyla Dolgikh for Faces Behind, she described her life as "chaotic".
Living in Finland while her husband and their corgi held down the fort elsewhere. Very long-distance. Very much a lot.
Update: husband's there now. Dog's there now. The dog, for the record, is named Woofston Churchill, which is objectively the best name any corgi has ever had, and he is thriving.
So yes. We might need a refresher. A lot changes in five months when you're not looking.
What did NOT change: Leyla telling it straight. On camera, she casually admitted to owning 500+ makeup palettes (a certified, unbothered addiction, and she's genuinely great with them).
We talked about meditating as a form of prayer, Leyla’s one daily non-negotiable, work be damned. Not for calm points. For staying regulated, tuned in, and human in a very online world.
That's Faces Behind for you: no scripts, no polish, just people mid-story. Sometimes the story moves faster than the upload schedule. That's on me.
New episode is live.
Go say hi to Leyla and her very good boy, Woofston Churchill.
